Tuesday, July 3, 1923

A clear day. No rain
in sight yet. Henry
went to George Blains
to help thrash wheat. Jim
and Ben plowed tobacco.
Ben and the children went
to Strait Stone this
evening. I picked a few
black berries this evening.
Want to preserve them
in the morning if I can.
Lelia Ward come here this
evening for a hen. Said
she had to fix a basket
for a pick nick tomorrow.
I sent 7 doz eggs
to the store to day.
They paid 25 cts per
doz. Edna bought two
bowls to day. I am
pleased with them.
Ben hates to take us
any where so bad
that he spoils all the pleasure.
