A good day. the men folks
worked on the tobacco land
except Ben. He went to
Chatham to be on a jury.
He did not want to go
but could not get off.
Hattie washed here
today. I and three
children went to George
Blains. Denia was not
at home. She had gone
to Otho Blains to
carrie Sallie some
straw berries. They
said that they had
gathered 9 gallons at
one time. Cordie had
had some beautiful
sweat peas.
