A rainy bad day. Jim & Ben could not do anything much.
Josie got dinner. Bessie (col) washed some. This evening Bessie went a way from here.
I cooked the chidlins at the wash house. I cleaned up the cabbin this morning.
I went to William Gilberts (col) a few minutes & come by Marvins. Carrie was sewing on her a dress.
Jim & Ben caught a rabbit just at night. Josie dressed it.
Henry & Edna got in the wood to night. Guess they will have that to do now Bess is gone.
I boiled the first of our offal to day.

Wednesday, December 10, 1919
A cool day. To night is colde. Jim & Ben went to Chatham. Nellie come with them home. I am very glad that she come.
Mr Owens baby is sick. I do hope he may be better soon. Josie baked a fruit cake to day.
Mr Owens carried some chickens to Long Island this evening.
I was at Marvins a few minutes this evening.

Thursday, December 11, 1919
A colde day. Ben & Jim helped Marvin Smith kill hogs. They killed two for Kate Harvey. Kate & Charles was at Marvins. I was there all day. Bettie Haley (col) was there. She washed for Carrie. Nellie and Josie nursed & got dinner.

Friday, December 12, 1919
A cloudy day and some rain and sleet this morning.
I went to Marvins and helped Carrie a bout her hog killing. I dried up the lard. We got through by night. Nellie & Josie stayed at home and kept house.
Josie made some mince meat.
Ben & Jim could not do much any way.
Jim is very much complaining to night. Jany Graveley gave a dance tonight. None of our folks went.

Saturday, December 13, 1919
A cloudy bad day. Jim and Ben has done nothing much all day.
Henry went to the store for some window glass.
Edna went to school. Miss Wooding carried her and brought her back.
Nellie finished a dress for Edna to day. I worked some button holes for Carrie Smith. The most of them was in Roys clothes.
