9th May 1863 Coltering in new ground & Hilling
Halling up last stack Oats to day

10th. went to meeting Sallie & myself

11th. Plowing on creek for Corn balance
Hilling in new ground fair fine weather

12. Shrubing & Plowing on Creek for corn
I went after my nails to Roarks & to Hagoodetc
Fair fine weather weaning Hesters mule
Colt now fair fine weather ——

14th. Sent claiborne to Mill 4 Turns corn 10
Bus. & 1 Turn for Neal. likely for Rain trying
to get done planting Creek Corn this morning
Sent Smith to Post office to day –

15. Coltering in new ground Henry for corn
finished planting Corn on creek yesterday

16. Hilling & coltering in new ground expect to
plant Greens this evening Corn etc etc fair weather

17th stayed at home sick –

18 went to Court with Mr DR Hunt sick
replanting corn & plowing corn –

19 I come back from court finished rep
lan[t]ing corn still plowing Brot Polly home
from Bolantz
