1856 6 Oct Hanging Tobacco this morning
Firing Tobacco Barn Back of Garden & Mount[ain]
Spring Barn about this time we are
weaning Our Mule Colt did not finish
hanging Tobacco last night and very much
injured in the lot, by stacking adams
stayed with the hands till about Supper
he left & did not come back to see
any more about hanging & Tobacco injuring
every hour fine morning & day —

7 We are hanging Tobacco in lot, firing
2 Barns, Adams Comes Out Soon enough
of Morning but will not do any
thing at night nor see about the hands
at all Lowry gone to Mill after Bag of
meal & carried 2 Bushels wheat for flour
Halling tobacco to Mountain Barn, etc
Hang leaves picking Out Cotton –
This morning I told Mr adams I wished him halled
in Tobacco first at Stoney & Come to Lot at house
& then fresh ground & new ground last instead of [th?]
he left lot for last he halls - & Just getting done

8th Halling Tobacco till 12 oclock firing Moun
=tain Spring Barn & mountain pulling corn
at Stoney pint & expect to hall it up this evening

9th Henry come home last night in 3 days to Lynchg
bringing 14 Bags Guano 1 Bbl Bacon & F. wyatts Box
& started again this morning to Lynchg again I am
going Firing mountain Barn halling up
Corn at stoney pint & then cutting down & stac[king]
Corn to sew wheat. Hallling up shingles etc

12 We have been 2 trips to Lynchg this week
& Carrd 75 or 80 Bushels wheat sold it for 7/6 & $1.30
Fired mountain Barn of Tobacco Cutting down & stack[ing]
Corn to sew wheat.
