Springfield April 12, 1859.
Sunday evening

My Dearest Friend
I resived[received] your kind and
affectionate letter last Tuesday afternoon
was glad to hear from you. I did not get your
first letter the letter man takeing it to the
shop and Henry put it into his pocket and
it droped it in the street I felt bad about it
and he felt sorry that looss[lose] it. Mrs. Burns,
resived[received] your letter last Saturday week and
I had the pleasure of reading it Sunday.
I was down to Mrs Burns last Thursday, she
sayes that she is getting along veary well,
she has a giral[girl] liveing with her she sayes
the not goining[going] to keep any longer then this
week. Mrs. Williams got her for Mrs. B. Mrs.
Williams
has moved in the house with
[Anders Reobens?] in Union Street.
Dorsia is veary well her eye is a much better
Mrs. Freeman just about the same she
