Sir: Referring again to your letter of April 20, 1906, inquiring as to whether the lighthouse reservation on Yaquina Bay, Oregon, could be acquired by private parties I have the honor to state that this lighthouse reservation being needed for life-saving purposes was on May 12, 1906, turned over to the Treasury Department for the use of the Life-Saving Service.
