36RFM. 1053 March 8, 1907 Sir:- I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of March 4, 1907, relative to a request by Mr. B.F. Jones for permission to use a part of the Light-House Reservation at Newport, Oreg. In reply this Department begs to state that it is informed by the Light-House Board that this reservation was transferred in 1888 to the War Department for its use until needed by the Light-House Board.
