Honored Sir:
The beautiful Memorial Church for the late President,
William McKinley, is advertised to be sold at public auction
to satisfy a trust of $5,000, which must be raised in full
or a substantial part thereoff on or before March 6th, 1917,
as it will be sold on March 7th, 1917, unless we can raise
the money. This is to ask you to please be kind enough
to make a small donation for this cause as a memorial to your
predecessor. The check should be made payable to Mr.
Charles W. Warden, Vice President of the Continental Trust
Company, 14th & H. Streets, N.W. who has kindly consented
to receive all contributions and apply them to the indebted-
ness of the church. Any amount would be very gratefully
received however small and most highly appreciated.
