Miss Nettie McNaughton

Dear friend, -

Received your card
and will try and write few
lines in answer. I am not
in the battalion with Oliver
now, but no doubt he has
mentioned in some of his letters
that I am not. I am in the
Trench Mortar Battery for the
present, but can be taken
back to the battalion any
time. I like the work better
than in the battalion.

I haven't seen Oliver
since the beginning of
Feb., but still am liable
to run across him any
time, as we are likely to be
within reach occasionally
