Fine day. Got up early &
tossed the hay. Dick home at
12 noon. Wrote to Mr Cameron re
Jack. Crawford & Sam to
dinner. Practised a little at
cricket before coming out.

TUESDAY, 4.
Fine day but hot. Drove up
to the cemetry with Papa
to see the vault. before office
Miss Hellmuth at Thornwood
playing croquet in afternoon.
Crawford ill & slept at
Thornwood.

WEDNESDAY, 5.
My 19th birthday. Present of $10
from the Governor. George
Harris & Dr. Killory out
playing croquet.

Very hot. Went out home
early to go shooting. Shot
a plover.

FRIDAY, 7.
Fine day. After office
played cricket. Smith bowling
to me for some time.
Mr & Mrs George Brown to
dinner &stayed very late.
Gov & Crawford off early for Port
Talbot & back to dinner.

SATURDAY, 8.
Heavy rain all the morning
cleared off at noon. Played
in a scratch match Military
vs Civilians - only 1 innings.
Military won by 12 runs.
