Very hot all day. My
neck still very painful.
Left office early in consequence.
Crawford came out with
me but did not stay to
dinner.

WEDNESDAY, 17
At intervals very hot &
tremendous thunder showers
all day. Stayed from office
preparing to go fishing in afternoon
with Nelson but the rain prevented
us.

THURSDAY, 18.
Chilly with a slight shower at
1 p.m. Crawford to dinner.

Heavy rain in afternoon.
Neck all right
went to the gymnasium.
Gov. Home at 9 G.T.R.
p.m. accom.

SATURDAY, 20.
Nelson left at 7 a.m. on G.T.R.
train. Very warm day.
Drove out to Van Warmer's
& Park's to serve papers in
afternoon & at night.
Served Sarah Park. Mrs Elliott & Mr
& Mrs Van Warmer.

SUNDAY, 21
Fine day. Went to
town [crossed out] in afternoon &
stayed till about 10 with
Alick.
