Crawford to dinner. Burnt blue &
red light at night. Wrote
to Alick.

THURSDAY, 20.
Fine day. Went over to St.
Thomas in afternoon & came
back at 6 1/2 p.m. Assizes
going on there.
News that the "Raiders" are
not to be given up.
Finished Haynes on equity.

FRIDAY, 31.
Fine day. Left office at 4 &
had a ride with Crawford.
Went down to the
house. Attended Divisiosn
Court in the morning.
Buckley/sold out.

Fine day. Morning service
with Flo, Mum & Alice.
John & Geo Macbeth, Mr Carling
& Col. Lysons out in
afternoon. Wrote to Fanty.

Fine day. Assizes commenced,
Judge Jno. Wilson
presiding. Attended
court nearly all day.
Letter from Fanty, saying that
she has heard of [Mama's?] death.
News that Richmond is taken.
