SATURDAY, JANUARY 28, 1865
Boney and Bull another fight.
Big mare found with a serious
bruise in the groin. Rudd say
he think she will get well again
How she got it. a mystery. Mack
left us. Lots of work in office. Drove
the gov & Mr Hutchinson to Macbeth's and back.
took [crib?] back to [Markin?].

SUNDAY, 29.
Jack disappeared. went to
Fanty and Alick. In theafternoon
drove the governor to Macbeths
and Bill to the Smyths. Then
put the mare in [Glenis?] stables
and went to evening service.
Big mare much better.

MONDAY, 30
Fine clear day. walked home from
office in morning. In afternoon
after office drove over to Willy Baileys
to see Mack Wilson but he was away.
After dinner played [quartittis?] with
the children and then read. The Gov. home
from St. Thomas at about 10.
