We were all very conscious of ourselves but enjoyed our lunch very much. At 1 P.M. we were back in the Class Room- Miss Ross

good workersand we would make good nurses, From 2 PM to 3 PM Mrs Callard gave a demonstration of bed making and then we practised it wasn't nearly so easy as it seemed but "Practice makes Perfect"-so we are all resolved to practice. 3 PM Mrs MacPherson came- and we had our first "quiz" Mrs MacPherson looks very strict but when she

our Head came inshe is very nice a big woman with gray hair- and eyes that can be kind and at neccesity very hard & piercing. She has a dry humourshe can be very sarcastic- but if we work well- she will be our good friend Our lecture from her was very interesting - a warning to young nurses- to be careful- but to be cheerful courteous and truthtful -

I wasn't very nervous. but I wished I was Home- But I slept so soundly that I had to be awakened at 6:30 a.m. We dressed & went to breakfast at 7:15. and such a big breakfast - I ate everything I couldwe came back and made our bedsand were at the school room at 8 AM. Miss Callard had neglected to leave us dusters, so we couldn't do our

felt like a good cry too- We had some visitors in the Dormitory and Mrs MacDougall had a watermelon -We had a good "feed" and I went to bed.
Thursday Sept 6/22 Dear Dairy - This had been one awful day. there was a perfectly terrible storm between 12 and 6- last nightor rather this morning Such fearful thunder and lightning all crashing together
