Muriwai, New Zealand, May 28, 1896.

TO WILFORD WOODRUFF, GEORGE Q. CANNON, & JOSEPH F. SMITH:

BELOVED BRETHREN: Ye wh are the true servants of God; GREETINGS to you through the true Gosepl of our Lord, that Gospel which has been delivered by you unto all nations, kindred, and people who dwell upon the face of the earth. We have received and seen and heard your Epistle, which was read to the Saints of this branch on Sunday, May 24th. Great, indeed, was the joy and gladness of the brethren and sisters, and all the saints, upon hearing your alutation and your words of warning, and encouragement unto us to remain firm and ture unto the principles of the Gospel which has given salvation unto this the Maori people of New Zealand.

GREETINGS unto you. Give our love to the brethren and sisters and all the saints who live in Zion, including Hirini and the sisters and their children. The saints of New Zealand are feeling well, and are desirous of magnifying their callings. Some who left the Church are now returning again. The servants of God who are travelling in our midst are ever diligent in exhorting us to do right while they labor with us here on these islands, and are unceasing in their efforts to lift the people out of darkness and bring them into the light of the gospel of our Lord.

Friends and Saints, we feel at all times to heed the exhortations of the true servants of God who are laboring in our midst, teaching and showing us that which is right. It is through this and searching the Scriptures, which shows us the true way to salvation that we are enabled to remain faithful. In this also lays our home of that salvation
