Dear Madame

The months since I saw you in Washington have been winged but I have never forgotten our pleasant walk and talk on the Avenue. There have been some things to be dissatisfied with in the way work has been done but on the whole it goes forward and will be accomplished in the end even better than we can ask or think. The decade meeting is one of very grave importance one which I hope every old friend and worker in the cause will feel needs their special effort.- It will be held in New York

who would be interested in this meeting I will write them. I have written a great many letters to England. I want now the addresses of [French?] and Germans who are interested. If you can send them to me I will write at once so that we may have [done?] to get these answers translated-Most truly yours Paulina W. Davis

In October I hope you will come officially? as a delegate if your society are not afraid of the Union. If they are come [as] yourself as the representative woman of [Asia?] Countries as you are, and help us. If you were not so greatly occupied I would ask you to come early in the month and come to the Convention of the 13th to be held in this city if you can come you will be a most welcome guest for my house, my heart and our meeting. If you could send me the names of German ladies
