To the Honorable the Legislature of the State of Wisconsin
The undersigned citizens of the town of Sugar Creek & vicinity, in said State, beg leave respectfully to represent "to your Honorable body; that they have learned that you have been petitioned to repeal Sec. 20, of an act entitled "an act to provide for the laying out, and altering, certain Territorial Roads therein named" approved March 13th, 1848; which act was passed by the Legislature, in answer to the prayer of a large majority of the citizens of the town of Sugar Creek, and, as an act of justice to the owners of the land over and along which the road therein described would pass, some of whom would be injured by it far more than the public could be benefitted; and as the road above referred to is of no use to the citizens of the town of Sugar Creek, the authorities of the said town have long ago taken up and discontinued the same, a measure nearly unanimously demanded by the citizens of the town.
And the undersigned would further represent that the remonstrances of the case are in no way altered now, from what they were then, and that out of the 170 names attached to the petitions praying for the repeal of the sections above referred to, only nine are citizens of the town of Sugar Creek.
We therefore beg leave respectfully to remonstrate against

the repeal of the said sec. 20 of the act above referred to and we as in duty bound will ever pray &.C.
