To the Honorable the Legislature of the State of Wisconsin We the undersigned residents of the County of [County?] of Portage do [illegible] that we were induced by the false and fraudulent [reservations?] of citizens of the city of Stevens Point that sign a petition for the removal of the County seat of said county but this was last satisfied that it is for the interest of the people of said courts that said county that said county seat should [remain?] where it now is and we do respectfully remove that against the passage of any law for [said?] [unreserved?]
