To the Honorable the members of the Legislature of the State of Wisconsin in senate and [Aberuly] Concerned Your Memorialists Citizens of the County of Jefferson would represent that we are of the opinion that the law mapped at the cart [sencire?] of the Legislature of this state [estallinning?} the County Courts of this state in the several counties therein will be [Rurderisance?} and necessary in many Counties and your Memorialists would urge the passage of a law giving the inhabitants in the several Counties the right to vote when the question whether they will retain the County Courty [illegible?] or reject the same and that the law be passed at as early a day as possible so that if the voters of any coutny shoudl reject the said County Courts they may be spared the expense of procuring books for the same. which will be attended with great expense Stated Jeferson Nov 27 1849 Names
