To the Honorable the Senate & Assembly of Wisconsin
The undersigned citizens of Wisconsin respectfully pray your Honorable body to instruct our Senators in Congress, ad ask our Representatives,
I: To oppose the passage of any act for the government of the territories of New Mexico & California or of any other territory already belonging to the U.S. or which shall be hereafter acquired unless it shall contain a provision forever prohibiting the introduction of slavery or involuntary servitude into said territory. II. To oppose the admission of any more slave states into the Union. III. To use their influence to procure the repeal of all lands sustaining slavery or the slave trade in the District of Columbia or in any other place under the Legislation [illegible] of the general government.

IV: To exert their influence to secure the passage of lands forever prohibiting slavery and the slave trade, whereas it can be [illegible] by national Legislation. V. To oppose all legislation on the pat of Congress which favors the interests of slavery and slave labor at the expense of freedom & free labor.
And the undersigned most respectfully petition to be heard before your honorable body in behalf of the foregoing objects.
