And to F--k to the best of your ability. If you dont F--k to your time away once in a while, then come the disturbing toughts to your mind, and the critics on the latest speach of Mayor Maier.
Lloyd Barbee to me, is a Johnny come lately, he is critical of all stuctures that may help the Negro to a better way of living.
He is to skeptical, yet he has not much of a reccord of ever having established anything fundamental.

I still maintain that you are being used for a political football come the ellection of next Year, I know your reccord for attendence is one of exellence.

Vel, I have it from good sources, that a machine is in motion, you will have have at least 4 opponents in next Years ellection.
I can not imagene what points of value this opponents of yours will have? What promise can they make? what you allrady have tried in vein.

It is easy to be critical, but to have given your moral support, at the last two Major issues, where did these Johnny come lately carracters hide? every Year the Tax budget becomes an open hearing to the public, here the citiezens have a right to express theyr opinions.

Yet, the very last two issue where left entirely up the council to do with what they ever pleased.
Darling, you have not failed in your Ward, do they expect you to go from house to house? tell people how to live.
Only the late Alderman Schmidt made a statement at one time, which should be remembered by all your people, and I qoute "Vel Phillips wants everything for her Ward, she is not concerned about the other part of the city, she will get it over my dead body" end of qoute, of course he was wrong by saying that you are not concerned with the entire city.

If a man with such prejudice made such a statement, then it must be, that you are a fighter.
DArling, you have the experience, the senorety, in the council, it would be a dissaster to your people to make a change while we are in the middle of the Rive

One young expyring man, a Negro to run against you, could be counted out, his bygrophy will not make him a close runner, he has a police reccord, also beliv me when I tell you, that Mr. Lloyd Barbee is possibly running against you.

Is his residence on East Meinecke in your Ward? Dear Vel. I have tried to contact several Aldermen this Week on your behalf, M. Ryan may be bak in the city by Monday, but in my opinion now the Majorety should vote for the Model cities program now, and the open housing without fail.

There are only the aldermen left that are under the pressure from theyr predominant white sections of the City.
Regardless of what happens I love you, and for all you you stand for, you little Dol you.

What a pleasure it would be, to know that we knew each other, that for once my house would be my own, to F--k with you when ever you needed it.
It was only by accident as I should call it, to have Barbara come in to my life

Oh how easy it could have ben you, but you are so bussey with the common council
