outlet of one running into the other
On the narrow [illegible] dividing these lakes is the
mound. I have the testimony of three of
the first settlers here that bones have
been found in this mound about 6 ft
below the surface of earth or 9 ft
from the top of the mound
It is about 66 ft long [9?] ft high
and 10 ft wide at the base
I should have examined it myself
farther had the winter held off a little
longer

The above will [?] give you an idea of the
location & lies E. & west about 40 ft from
the road. covered with brush & so that
but few would notice it
