regard to article on Louisville & Portland
canal & Geological Description
Necolbauen. Dec-6-1827
Dear Sir
I have received your communications
on the Louisville Canal & the geology of the vicinity
& then to their feasible [?] productions creditable
to your taste & habits of objection. Time will-(perhaps
sooner than you realize) remove the deficiency of
youth & I trust you will improve, year by year,
in every thing wise & good & become a [?]
to your fellow men.
No truth geology being I believe extinguished
have ? the money to be remitted to be credited to you on
the books [arbebathy?] here who has your
names on his list; it of course be applied
towards your coming [?] [?] you should
[?] [?]. I should like to receive your
profile of the canal ?. If it could be folded as a
letter it would cost but 25 cents & if necessary
to cover it, which I presume it would be, I
would willing pay the double postage [?]
immediately after receiving this letter it would be
in season to appear with your communication in
the next No after that which will free in a few days
