Letter to Miss Lapham from John Muir
Martinez, California. January 6, 1910-
Dear Miss Lapham,
I thank you for your kind letter which brings to mind [illegible...] days some of the pleasantest of them were spent at the State [illegible] for Father's Farm on the River near Portage. Your name is familiar but I have only a faint recollection of meeting your father.
We are doing all we can to save the Hatch [Helchy?] Valley & the Yosemite National Park in general from commercial robbers & trust your club will come to ours help.
With all good wishes & many pleasant memories. I am faithfully yours,
John Muir.
