Genus Icthyocrinus, Conrad, Jour. Acad. Nat. Sc. vol 8 p. 279 (18 ) Hall Pal. of NY vol 2 p. 195 4p 319

Column round, smooth & slender having the articulating rays on the outer circumference; canal small & round; scapulae with the margins of the articulations parallel, & somewhat imbricated; the base of the cup shows five small triangular pelvic plates; a second & third scapular plate succeed in direct series when subdivision takes place, which is repeated two or three times at irregular intervals; base of the cup when the column is separated, presents a tripetalous impression.

The specimen consists of the arms & fingers, which are not tentaculated; the arms divided at irregular [intervals] distances from the base, and are each composed of a single quadrangular series of plates, except the joint at the bifurcation, which is pentagonal.
