Dunn County.

The Chippewa river is the most important stream in this county, though near the mouth it is divided into numerous branches called "sloughs".

Red Cedar river is a largest branch at the Chippewa that enters it in this county. Hay river and the L' Eau Galle are also important tributaries.

There are no lakes in Dunn county. The southern parts of the county is based upon limestone, except in the beds of the streams; the northern, and by far the largest part of the county lies in the sandstone district.

Pine lumber is manufactured at numerous places within the county and rafted down the rivers for a market.
