Folder Description: This folder contains lists, notes, and charts on various species of trees found in the state of Wisconsin, both native and introduced. (Note: when we started cataloguing, the pages for trees introduced into Wisconsin and those native to Wisconsin were mixed within each other. Using Lapham's notes and basic research we have re-arranged them, separating the two groups as it was clear that Lapham had intended to keep them separate. However, as we are not botanists, and scientific knowledge has changed since the late 19th century, it is possible that some of the trees placed into the "introduced" category were originally thought to be "native.")
