Leaves setaceous; spikes 3 to 6 in a terminal clustre, and mostly one or two on a remote axillary peduncle, oblong-lanceolate; achenium smooth or very obscurely wrinkled, lenticular, oblong-ovoid, stipitate, about half the length of the 6 stout, denticulate bristles, and twice the length of the lanceolate-beaked tubercle.
