syn. C. sicaeformis Boot. C. Halei. Dewey.

Spikes large, decompound, ovate, aggregated at
the apex; bracts two=toothed at the base; perigynia
alternated from a broad truncated base; slightly
winged, much longer than the scale; style
turnis at the base. Culm 2 to 3 feet high;
Swamps.

Milwaukee in Wisconsin; Illinois and
Ohio, extending south to Louisiana.
