[right page] Racine June 15 1846 - Rocks at Rapids and also between Rapids and Lake dip towards the lake - Ragged kind of limestone easily decomposed by weather. Fossils similar to Pettibone. Something like "Lake Ridges" seen near the quarries.

Lake ridges 3 miles north of Racine on U. S. road at Lime quarries on limestone rocks.
