I found the rapids when you sent me a first rate plan for the salmon & those of them that were alive travelled off right smartly.

I am in hopes they will live & if they do & stock Milwaukee River it will be just as well as if they went up north.

Mr Mann put the 1000 into Oconomo woc Lake on Saturday.

I send you those specimens of which I spoke today by Express.

Please write me what you find there so that may satisfy the old man.

I herewith transmit a series of tables showing when to light & when to extinguish the street lamps for each day during the year 1873, calculated upon the same principles as heretofore, having with reference to the time of sunset, the varying length of twilight & the time of rising and setting of the moon.

The number of hours requiring light in each month is as follows
