Dr Sir!

I am offered
the stone quarry comprising about 20 acres
which you inspected last year.

The price however which the owner asks
is too large $5000 —

I have now a side track in and can ship
by cars either to Milwaukee or Sheboygan —
Thus far I have no dimension stone out
yet. I have made a face with blasting
of about 15 feet long and 8 feet wide
through four layers what I suppose will
make dimension stone.

The first layer is 18 inches the second one
9 inches the 3rd layer 15 inches and the 4th
24 inches thick.

The two upper layers have small yellow lines
yet, which seem to have been once cracks
but seem to hold at present, however that
is something which should not be in
dimension stone.
