Dear Sir!

I am in possession of your letters from [blank] & 7 [Inst?] and today I give to the Express Office in Mezom [Mezomanie]: one Ronleaux with 12 sheets Lepidoptera, all from the neighborhood of Mezomanie and the Gardend of the Wisconsin River, with the only exception of the silkworm and his Papil [Papillon?]: but I thought it would interest the ladies. From the Lepidoptera I could have written the name of the Genus from all but not the Species Name. I found it best to writen[write] only the family name. The Synoptik Table of the Genus Rhinchota consist with few exception from the water inhabitans, all - Representants found here. Perhaps if I can find the Insects I can send you 1 or 2 genus table more, or a frame full of Insects not comon [common] from this country. I do not like to send my collection of schells [shells] only to be seen. I had it in a drawer, every piece adhered with a composition on littel [little?] [boods?]. It will give me a day work to pack it, but I am sure you would not return it if the purchaser is a connoisseur of Conchiliologie. Sure it would not to be find any convenience to buy a Collection as complete as this one is, well preserved and what is from importance well correctly named, for this price, it is difficult to find Collection as this one to buy in Europa, and not for this price, and perhaps none in the United State. I marqued [marked] the

price as low for the fair, for a Particular I would have asked 25 or 30$. I am sure you or your friend would be well satisfied, and I am very glad to hear that she would be in the hands of a connoisseur.

Doctor and Profs. Schmidt from Laibach, one of the celebratest [most celebrated] Conchiliologie of Germany has revised my Collection of the land and Insect water shells, and all marqued [marked] Thrainate are coming from him.

I will give the box next friday or in the morning of Saturday to the Express office.

Can you tell me the name or title of a work over American Insects?

Respectfull I am your
