Spent most of the time today with Father on the job. Darius went to Chillicothe.

Drew a plan of the Yellow Bud Aqueduct copied from the one given by the Engineer

Finished the plan above mentioned and stayed about home nearly all the time.

...house Dariuses [sic] trunk which he sent from Chillicothe - the rest of the time was spent in reading the Edinburgh Encyclopedia & writing some articles from his book of memorandums - he returned this evening.
Nov 22d Saturday
Considerable rain fell during the night and in the morning it changed to snow - which continued to fall during the day. Stayed at home of course.
