Kfer Ḥauwar

About half an hour from northeast of Serdjibleh
near the edge of the Dâna plain and in
full view of Shêkh Barakât are the
ruins of a small town in the south western
slope of a wâdi. There are remains of
a very small and plain church with
right lined apse and of several houses.

Among these there are no less than
four of tower like form in different
parts of the town - one adjoining the church
and two on the edge of the slope.

All are two storied but of very small
ground plan and reaching up to a
height of 25 to 30 feet. All are built
in quadrated style with a simple cornice
moulding but otherwise quite plain
