Benjamin Joy the within mentioned Petitioner
makes oath that the within mentioned Carlton
Tannehill
, was bound as an apprentice to him as is
stated in the within petition -- and that the said
Carlton absconded from his service on the day mentioned in the within Petition, and continued
absent and absconding, during the time also therein
mentioned, to recover satisfaction for which
this Petition in filed -- and the said Benedict
Joy
verily believes that the said Carlton, and will
abscond and fly from Justice to avoid the decision
& judgment of the court on [ ] the within Petition, unless he is
compelled by the court to give security for his appear-
ance to answer & abide by the same
