Dear Sir,

We regret to say that we had niether Griffiths or (?) Judicature acts in stack at present, neither could we procure them in New York after thoroughly trying. We have sent you the 15th Vol. of Moak's Eng. Repts. by express today. It has just been recd. by us today, having just been published. We looked in vain yesterday for the Volume con-taining the sketch, and left annoyed to think we could not find it, as we desired to send it to you at once. But when the new vol. came in today we found it to be

the one. You must have seen any aduance copy or been aware by some other means that the forthcoming vol. was to contain such a sketch. We trust the Vol. will reach you in good time for your purpose. We have prepaid the express charges.
