Act _ will thank you to inform me whether in this case_ as in the case of Tallow taken from the Coast in April 1858_ the proceedings are to be conducted in the manner prescribed by the Act 11 & 12 Vict c 43. the time was burning_ and could be distinctly seen many miles distant. _ That it was seen by Mr Jon Dyson the Master at 8 P.M when he left the Mate _ James Hamshaw in charge of the Deck _ Mr Dyson pointed out the Light to the Mate Hamshaw. Mr Hamshaw John Maiden A.B. Wm Major Ordy Jas Scarlett Ordy and Geo Parker Boy - who were the Watch on Deck _ are all now in Hull. John Maiden belongs to one of the Rotterdam Traders - The Vessel he belongs to will sail to-morrow and will be due _ to return on Sunday 4' Decbr - any inquiry may take place on _ Monday - Tuesday or Wednesday - or 12th - 13th or 14th. I have seen Mr Parkes who is Clerk to the Patrington Magistrates and isntructed him to prepare summonses for Coleman and party - and the witnesses, But as I could not describe the position on the Coast where the wreck took place - I promised that you should call upon him some day before Saturday next _ and if necessary take Milne with you _ Therefore do so and I will be at Patrington on Saturday next by the Forenoon Train to take out the summonses. Dear Mr Tiddy 2 Decbr 1859 I have received your note of the 30' Ulto respecting the Anchor removed to Withernsea, I have also received one from Mr Hoad stating that it will be returned to you When you receive it have the goodness to apprize the Owner of the barge "William" thereof - and let me know hereon _ when you deliver it to the owner. Vessel "Capital" Dear Sir: 7' Decbr 1859. Will you have the goodness to obtain signature to accompanying paper_ and return it to me. The produce of Sale of Wreck of "Capital" is in Peases Bank and will not be moved without my sanction. The question of claim for getting materials on Shore had best be brought before the Justices on the 21st when we meet on the other matter - But in order to do so Mr Parks should be apprized that he may acquaint Justices. You or Milne should also apprize all other parties concerned. Truly yours.
