1965. Mon. To Roman wall at St Giles Cripplegate - very fine. To Bunhill Fields - monuments to Bunyan, DeFoe, Blake, to Wesley's Chapel, monument & house. very moving relics of W.

1966. Tues. Finished Anne's skirts. To get boys from school with Anne. [unclear] train back. met Jean Campbell in train. heard Strindberg play on CBL "To Damascus"

1967. Wed. Father Neill came to see me re book. To dinner at Hugh's - splendid evening. Birthday gifts for me. Hugh drove Father N. & me home.

1968. Fri. With guide in car to high hill for view of the city & river, Roman theatre, city walls, Renaissance garden, cathedral. wonderful day. Lovely dinner.
