[p.371] DECEMBER 29 Fri 19 To lunch at Wmson's, & tea at Luella's. H. & I to "Adventure in Music." Concert in movies with Irene & Bill Clark 19 Baked cookies, Hugh to store. To egg nog party at Rouillards, very nice. Mild & raining. 19 To Church. Heard symphony. Snowing. Mon 19 Washed. Hugh better. Mary out in evening. Wed. 19 Cold & blizzard. Sorted papers, & wrote letters. Heard Handel's Messiah on radio. Anne & I alone for dinner & evening.

[p.372] 44-48 DECEMBER 30 Sat. Shopped. Baked. Darned socks. Reading "History of Christian Thought." Children making rink. Beautiful outside with deep snow. 19 sun. To church. rain all day. Mary out at tea. Heard Symphony. Mon. 19 Washed. To Univ. Lib. David here skating & for tea. Mary out. Tues 19 shopped on Yonge St. & to library. mary out. Bright & Cold. I had flu in night. Thu. 19 To Taylor's & to Forest Hill. Snowing hard. Harriet came - she & Mary out. Harold & Hugh came home from Cleveland.

Baked pies etc. H. & I to Dawsons, Bladens there, to see N.Y. in. Cold. 19 Anne & I to store. H. back from Winnipeg. Snow. skating. Played games with boys & Anne. Wed 19 H. came back. I sick in bed all day. H, H, crossed out all out for evening. Feel weak & miserable. Fri 19 Mary & Harriet out. Baked cookies & fruit cake. Snowing hard. H. & I to Bladens to see New Year in. Blizzard.
