FEBRUARY 1

1939 Mary home with a cold. We both sewed all day. Harold out all evening.

19 Shopped & met Luella for tea. We went to Prof Martin's lecture at U.C. Came home with H.

19 Went shopping on Yonge St. Mended. Mary at a movie. Heard "Cavaliera" "Pagliacci"

19 Anne to S.S. Harold away all day. Went to hear Mary's choir at St. James Bond. cold

19 Hugh home with cold. Finished A's dress. H. home for tea. Washed.

FEBRUARY 2

[?]9 Mrs. Logan came & we sewed all afernoon. Melting. Luella came in evening. made fudge.

[?]9 Colder. Went to library & to Hart's lecture at econ. bldg.

[?]9 Sun. Pete here for dinner, & afternoon, Harts etc. here for tea. Heard radio. Sunny & bright.

[?]9 Tues. Proofreading. 10o below zerio. Went to committee meeting. at Mrs. Thompsons. Met H. on bus.

[?]9 Ironed. H. home for tea but out for dinner. Wrote letters & mended. Finished "G.B.S."

FEBRUARY 3

10 Took Anne shopping & got her shoes & slippers. Quite mild. Harold out.

19 Went shopping. Luella came for tea. She & I went to market & I got buckwheat honey.

19 I went to short story lunch at C.W.P.C. - then to tea at Univ. Women's club with Dell. & to weave in evening.

19 Cold. Went to Luella's for tea. Sent mss. to Ryerson Press.

19 Cold. Shopped at Loblaws. Feeling miserable.

FEBRUARY 4

Sat. 19 Baked. Cold. All ski-ing and skating. Sewed & knitted.

Sun. 19 Girls & I went to church. Harold rested all day. Read. Listened to symphony.

Tues. 19 Very cold. Typed all day. Parent's night at J.R.R. D. went with me. Saw all rooms, Dr. Griffin on mental hygiene.

19 Finished & typed story. Lecture on "haemorhage", had chocolate with E. Welsford & Mrs. Glover.

19 Went to Dr. McGeachy for blood test etc. & to store. Milder!

FEBRUARY 5

Sun. 19 Took girls to church. Tea - F. H. Brouns, Duffs, & McIl, I went to H. Kemps & heard pipes, Mrs. Aitchison played.

Mon. 19 Worked on book. Very mild.

19 Typed. Milder. H. out. children skating, made waffles. Weaving class brought loom home.

19 Mildred not here, cleaned & typed. Met Luella & looked at furniture & curtains.

19 Mild. Anne in bed with swollen glands. Doris T. here for tea. Mary at movie.
