April SATURDAY 8 1918

W. Sandling.

As usual on Sat P.M. the camp more or less deserted. but many kept on on account of Brigadier inspection. which occurred at 530 & lasted 10 min. More or less of a farce. Went with Maj McLean for dinner at Royal Norfolk at Sandgate. Game of Bridge with Frank McGee & [unclear] Bassett. On returning home via Shorncliffe & train found telegram from Ford saying he was at the Pavilion Hotel.
