Is one of the finest private houses I have seen for some time belonging to the Bishop, with gardens very handsomely and tastefully laid out  at Castel Branco our Brigade lay out, which I never could account for, as there was plenty of room in the Town 
8th Left Castel Branco & arrived at S.t Miguel, a small village near which we lay out 
9th arrived at Escalhos de Sima another small village near which we likewise lay out 
10th arrived at Pedrogao where we shared the same fate as the two preceding nights
11th the Division separated & were cantoned as at present in the following villages  the 27th Reg.t at Aldea del Obispo  97th at Los Aguas  40th at Aldea de Juan Perez & Alciada  the left Brigade at Pedrogao & other villages thereabouts  This is one of the prettiest & most picturesque villages I ever beheld  It is so surrounded with wood that you
