Ld. Strathcona's place, where July 11 is a small herd of buffalo, 4 or 5 old, & 2 young ones. Back to G’s where we packed & dined, & left at 9.30. He came to sta. with us hauled our luggage & [?erved?] like a porter. Got it all checked & we found our [unclear] reserved all right. [G.So??] sent [me?] a most lovely sheaf of carnations got berths made up. to bed about 11. Nice stateroom with good sized lavatory at end.
