The little girl down in California I think is quite peeved at me because I do not write oftener. She says [I wri - crossed out] she writes every English mail and I write when I haven't anything else to do. I don't see why I appear not to be lucky. As far as girls are concerned. but you know what I used to say. That if I can remain single till I am thirty. I shall always remain so. I have to go up the line at 9 PM Ce Soir and return if all goes well at 6: A.M. I should like to have Frank. Bob. and Stan along with me to see the fireworks. very best love, Aut. Brother Reg
