My dear Fannie -
Well Fan I suppose by the time you receive this that Xmas will be pretty near or maybe over. I sincerely hope that you have or had a Very Merry Xmas. I sent you one of the battalion Xmas cards a little while ago. They were very hard to get and very limited. The transportation seems very poor so far.
I am all alone here in my billet. It is a very nice billet but very noisy. The Madame of the house is quite young and has a laugh like (oh awful loud) and then she sings which sounds like one of these cheap grind organs. They have an acordian / I don't know whether this is correct or not. Between them all there is plenty of noise. They all went out to-night to the picture show and so (a little peace). I went down to the picture house one night but it was so crowded that there was no chance.
By the way Fan before I forget could you phone up Edith Ellis for

me and give her the greetings of the season. I owe her a letter and have lost her address so am unable to write.
I have been busy writing to some different people and my time (spare) has been taken up.
I wrote Reg the other day because I want to see see him about a couple of little matters, so hope he will get a chance to come and see me. Will certainly be glad to see him.
Well Fan I am going to bed right away because we have a route march to-morrow. You see they never let us get lazy around these places.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and very Best Wishes for the New Year.
Your loving Bro. Ted.
Will get leave about first of January.
