Dear Fan:
I thought that I had better write you
people in Toronto and let you know that
I am still alive even though I am in
the hospital.
I suppose that you will have heard all
about me and my boils. by the time that
you receive this letter. It is certainly too
bad that I should [go - crossed out] get them when I
was trying to see the sights of the world.
I suppose that I must be glad though
like "Pollyana" and say that it might
be worse.
I have been here now since Sat
night and I certainly feel a good deal
better now than I did when I came.
[because - crossed out] I have been taking medicine
right along and I had one injection
