To the Governor of the State of Utah

We the undersigned workingmen and citizens
of Omaha, Nebr., believing that a great injury to
as all will be done by the shooting to death of
Joe Hill, petition you to pardon him.
Our Understanding is that Joe Hill is not long for
this world at best, he being a sufferer from consumption
and for him to be put to death by shooting will only
engender a hatred for a law,which we believe was made
to protect us.
Since you a governor of the State of Utah have
the power to save Joe Hill's life, we as working
men and women of the city of Omaha, Nebr. respect
fully petition you to extend a pardon to Joe Hill,
as we believe he was unjustly convicetd.
