Minneapolis, Minn.
Sept. 27th. 1915.

Honorable William Spry.
Governor. State of Utah.
Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dear Sir...

You will find enclosed my daily Protest against the
False and unjust Execution of Joe Hill who is innocent as you
know and should be given an immediate release on Oct. 1st. instead
of shot. Are you going to let him be shot? The people of Minneapolis
and in fact all of it's citizens are arising in protest against
this damnable injustice on the part of Utah. You have the power
to Free him, so you had better Act quick and see that he does not
get shot. I tell you that if Hillstrom is shot it will be a Red
Blot upon the State of Utah that can not be wiped off. The power
lies with you to Free him and that's just exactly what you want
to do. Act quick before it is too late. Do it now. Don't wait.
Hoping you Free him soon I am

Yours to Progress,
C.W. Anderson.

By a man who believes in Freedom for the whole Human Race.
